Spain's Amarna Miller not only stars in "Qué Es La Pasión," she also, in collaboration with director Alis Locanta, wrote the screenplay. Non-Spanish speakers may have a bit of difficulty understanding Miller's brief introductory (and concluding) monologues, but her performance with Juan Lucho requires no interpretation — this is a story of a couple united in love and consumed with overwhelming sexual desire for one another. Miller may have expended considerable energy on the conception and execution of her screenplay, but she has vast reserves of expressive erotic fire at her disposal, and her performance here quickly reaches a rolling boil that is sustained until the film's final moments. While the emotions, interactions, and reactions here are rich and complex, "Qué Es La Pasión" is actually quite simple. Awake in bed with Lucho slumbering at her side, Miller introduces the film. We see the couple, clearly in love, kissing and indulging in a brief bit of spontaneous sex. Then, on a compact sofa, they go at it in earnest. While there is affection and romance in the air, there's also a powerful undercurrent of ravenous hunger, and Lucho satisfies his by going down on Miller. To say that Miller is responsive is to understate — indeed, once she's been primed, Amarna exists in a near-constant state of hyper-arousal through the entire session, and each orgasmic peak she achieves only paves the way for the ever more intense climaxes that follow.
