Scenedex is a free search engine for JAV and Western adult-video metadata, in English, Korean and Japanese. It hosts no video, needs no account and shows no ads.

• Product-code first — any spelling (ssis531, SSIS00531) resolves to the canonical code; every prefix has a full list (/code/SSIS) with previous/next navigation.
• Identify from a filename — paste a messy file name and get the matching title (Search page).
• Translated titles and romanized names — Japanese titles with English translations, performers with Hepburn names alongside the original.
• Performer hubs — debut title, age at debut, active years, main makers, frequent co-stars and a release timeline; plus new debuts by month.

• Your library stays on your device — favorites, watched lists and notes live in your browser (export/import supported), never on our server.

Data sources

Public metadata, collected and normalized: JavDB (catalog, genres), FANZA public data (official covers, name readings, descriptions), StashDB (Western scenes and performers) and studios' public sites. Images load directly from the providers' CDNs; all rights belong to their owners. Every title page lists its sources.

API for media servers

A JSON API for Stash / Jellyfin / Emby scrapers (rate-limited per IP):

• GET /api/v1/jav/{CODE} — title metadata (title, translated titles, release date, maker, cast, genres, cover)
• GET /api/identify?filename=… — extract product codes from a filename and match them
