To her joy, she finds a secret compartment and within it lays the book. Canela grabs the book and admires it in her hands. All she has to do now is hand the book to her masters and keep it closed until they have it. But Canela is overwhelmed with curiosity. Untold power in the palms of her hand. She opens the book. Dark magic leaks from the pages, affecting her mind and body as she feels the touch of the book’s power. She tries to fight it and seal the book shut to continue her mission, but it’s too late. The darkness has been released. It wants mortals to toy with, and unfortunately, Canela is the only person nearby…
