The story of how a female colleague from my hiring class pressured me—even though I was engaged—because she wanted to make memories Ryōji and Miki, who never even hinted they were dating, suddenly announced their engagement! Our group of colleagues who'd gathered at Ryōji's place for drinking parties at every opportunity were shocked but congratulated them. “...I guess this might be the last time we all gather at Ryōji's place like this.” Though wrapped in celebratory mood, knowing things wouldn't stay the same once they started families, they drank until dawn before finally calling it a night. ...And on the way home as dawn began to break, Jun, having made up her mind, turned back alone toward Ryōji's house.
