The Florence Nightingale Effect
Jill Kassidy rolled her ankle and is laid up in bed while it heals, but her college sent over Naomi to help with her physical therapy in the meantime. Naomi is a little annoyed at Jill, she’s been ringing the doorbell for 10 minutes without an answer and she has a lot more patients to attend to. Once Naomi gets upstairs the tension continues, Jill’s upset the college didn’t send an actual medical student since Naomi’s pre-med which make her very defensive as they talk about their classes. It turns out that they both have the same physiology professor, Jill’s studying to be a vet and she’s also at the top of her class. Naomi heads home and emails the professor to see of what Jill claims is true and he confirms it. When she goes back for Jill’s next physical therapy session the girls get along much better, they’re laughing and joking together. Naomi has more patients so she cuts this session short but they’re both looking forward to the next session. Jill’s foot seems to have healed perfectly as Naomi checks her range of motion then she mentions that this might be their last session. They both seem disappointed about this and Naomi reassures Jill that they can still be friends but Jill says says she wants to be more than friends.
