Above
Much of Andrej Lupin's "Above" is captured by a camera positioned high above the performers. The film begins with a slow tracking shot that establishes the vertiginous camera placement with masterful elegance. Later on the airborne camera takes a curvilinear path, swooping, spinning and swerving with balletic grace above the two earthbound players below. But style without substance never fully satisfies, and that's where the impassioned performances of Uma Zex and Lexie Dona come in. A perfect pairing of light and dark, Uma and Lexie kiss tenderly and with rapidly increasing passion on an L-shaped sofa. Intimate, ground level close-ups capture the powerful natural attraction between the two women. Uma takes the lead, helping Lexie out of her nightie and then deftly and methodically stroking, licking, and finger-banging her to several distinct peaks of ecstasy. When it's time for Lexie to reciprocate, she does so eagerly, enthusiastically, and with obvious enjoyment — the smile on Lexie's face as she slides her long, agile tongue through Uma's juicy slit and across her clit is one of many special moments here. The two radiant stars reach their final climaxes of the encounter with Uma astride Lexie in a sixty-nine, eating while being eaten, fingering while being fingered, and basking in shared and simultaneous orgasm. Beautiful visuals and thrilling performances make "Above" a lusty and lofty erotic/artistic achievement.
