A Lesson in being helpless
In everyday life if you are unhappy about something you complain and the situation often changes. One of the first lessons any potential slave needs to learn is that of being helpless. Understanding that this is happening and the only thing to do is see it through as this slave tied here will realize. Of course the applicant wants to experience these feelings which is why it applied but after a while the feeling of helplessness does make them doubt their decision.
